Sri Lanka endured more than seven decades of conflict and division - a painful history, shaped by leadership across all communities, that left deep misunderstandings between ethnic groups such as the Sinhala and Tamil people, and across different religions. For generations, a young person's opportunities were decided not by their talent, but by where they were born and which community they belonged to.
Our founder spent 43 years living in Canada - a country that taught a powerful lesson: a society can choose to be built on equality, peace, and justice, where diversity is not a fault line but a foundation. Canadians call this the pursuit of a "Just Society."
INVORG was founded in London, Ontario, Canada on April 1, 2014, with a vision of uplifting communities through innovative digital solutions. The mission grew to the United States in 2019 and to Sri Lanka in 2021, where INVORG Sri Lanka was established under the umbrella of INVORG Canada - carrying the same vision across three countries.
ICI brings that vision home: a learning center where digital knowledge and English proficiency open the doors that history once kept closed. ICI's Grand Launch takes place on August 5th - a tribute to the country and the values that inspired this work, and a promise to the youth of Batticaloa that their future belongs to them.
